What Are the 2023 Ford Escape Trims & Features?
Ford provides seven variations of the 2023 Escape: Base, Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, Platinum, ST-Line Elite, and Plug-in Hybrid. The ST-Line variants are hybrids, but the Base and Active trims are only available with gas engines. Ford claims that all Escapes will offer fuel efficiency and offers two gas and two hybrid powertrain options for the 2023 model year.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2023 Ford Escape Have?
In the 2023 Escape, Ford will still offer two gasoline engines and two hybrid powertrains. The upgraded gas engine is still a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 250 hp, while the base engine is still a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine with 180 hp. Both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive are options. One hybrid and one plug-in hybrid make up the two hybrid powertrains. The hybrid powertrain has a 94-kW electric motor and a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. A 2.5-liter gas engine and an electric motor combine to produce 210 horsepower in the plug-in hybrid. It has an all-electric range of 37 miles. According to Ford, it can be fully recharged in 3.5 hours using a 240-volt Level 2 home charger.
What Safety Features Does the 2023 Ford Escape Include?
Automatic emergency braking, blind-spot detection, driver monitoring, forward-collision warning, lane-keeping assistance, and rear cross-traffic warning are some driving aids that come standard on the 2023 Escape. The enhanced Ford Co-Pilot 360 safety system now includes intersection turn assistance. It helps prevent incidents with pedestrians and other vehicles while turning. A new Blind Spot Assist system is now available, adding a steering wheel nudge and visual alerts when a car is close.
