The new Transit is available in Cargo Van, Passenger Van XL, and Passenger Van XLT trims. Even the hardworking Transit Cargo Van comes with a range of popular standard features. Ford's SYNC 4 infotainment system, available as an option, enhances the driving experience with a 12.0-inch LCD touchscreen featuring Connected Navigation.
The Transit Passenger Van XL shares many features with the Transit Cargo Van but adds rear air vents and rear USB ports. It also includes cloth seating surfaces. For additional amenities, consider the Passenger Van XLT model, which comes with power-folding mirrors and front fog lights. The SYNC 4 infotainment system is now a standard feature on this trim, along with reclining rear seats for added comfort.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2024 Transit Have?
The new Transit comes standard with a capable 3.5-liter PDFI V6 engine that delivers a respectable 275 horsepower. For those seeking more power, the optional 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine boosts performance to 310 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. While rear-wheel drive is standard, an Intelligent AWD system is also available.
What Safety Features Does the 2024 Transit Include?
Ford Co-Pilot360 provides the Transit with several advanced safety features. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, designed to detect vehicles and pedestrians ahead, can intervene when necessary. A Lane-Keeping System and a rearview camera are also standard. The available Blind Spot Information System helps reduce the risk of accidents by keeping you aware of vehicles in your blind spots.
