What's New for the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning?

The 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning is a full-size truck with much to offer. It combines the benefits of the regular F-150 with greater efficiency. It provides a comfortable ride and quick acceleration, and it's capable of handling various tasks throughout the workday. The Lightning is a practical truck with additional styling options for select trims this year and minor updates to standard and available features.

2024 F-150 Lightning Trims & Features

There are five trims available in the F-150 series.

The Pro starts the lineup featuring LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, and a crew cab design. It also includes a Class IV hitch and an electronic-locking rear axle. The interior has standard vinyl seats and black vinyl flooring, with heated front seats and dual-zone climate control.

The second trim, the XLT, upgrades to larger alloy wheels and carpeted floors. It also includes a leather steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver's seat, power-adjustable pedals, and a rear window defroster for safer driving in cold or inclement weather. Additional under-seat rear storage is also provided.

The Flash trim includes a wireless phone charger, a heated steering wheel, a power liftgate with an integrated step, a push-button start, and a keyless entry system.

The Lariat adds a dual-pane sunroof, leather seats, ventilated front seats, and power-folding exterior mirrors.

The Platinum features 22-inch wheels, upgraded leather seats, massaged front seats, upgraded interior trim, and a 14-speaker sound system.

Power and Performance

The Lightning offers up to 452 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque with the base powertrain and up to 580 horsepower with the larger battery pack available in the Flash, Lariat, and Platinum trims. The Ford Lightning can tow up to 7,700 pounds regardless of the powertrain. All models come standard with four-wheel drive and can achieve up to 240 miles of all-electric range.

Safety Features

The 2024 F-150 Lightning includes a range of standard driver-assistance features, with Ford's new BlueCruise semi-autonomous driving mode as an option. Standard features include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist. Adaptive cruise control with a hands-free driving mode is also available.
