Austin Cindric Joins Ford Multimatic Motorsports for Rolex 24 at Daytona

Austin Cindric, Ford Performance NASCAR Cup Series driver, has been selected to join the Ford Multimatic Motorsports team for the upcoming 2025 Rolex 24 at Daytona. He will step in for Ben Barker, an endurance driver who suffered a broken collarbone in a skiing accident over the holidays. Cindric will race alongside regular team drivers Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx in the Ford Multimatic Motorsports Mustang GT3.

This will be Cindric's sixth Rolex 24 appearance, and he's confident that the Mustang GT3 will help him deliver a competitive showing.

Cindric, born in Mooresville, NC, is a multiple-race winner in the NASCAR Cup Series. One of his most memorable achievements came in 2022 when he won the Daytona 500 while driving a Team Penske Mustang. Before his stock car racing career, Cindric competed in major sports car racing events across the U.S. He has experience behind the wheel of Ford development vehicles like the Mustang GT4 and has competed four times in the Michelin Pilot Challenge at Daytona with Multimatic Motorsports, earning a 2019 win alongside Priaulx at Road Atlanta.

2025 is a special year for Cindric, as it marks the 10th anniversary of his first race with Multimatic and Ford at Daytona. The team is excited to have him back, and Cindric is looking forward to preparing for the race on January 26th.
