What's New for the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning?

The Ford F-150 Lightning is an all-new release from Ford. Although Lightning has not yet hit the markets, it is already creating quite a buzz in the auto industry. The Lightning will be the newest addition to the ever-popular Ford F-150 series of trucks. The Lightning, however, is distinguished from the other vehicles in the F-150 family in several ways. One of the most notable attributes of the F-150 Lightning is its electric powertrain, which will provide the truck with an exceptional fuel economy, along with a great electric range. Lightning will also lead its class in tow ratings and payload. Modern technology, cutting-edge safety equipment, and a spacious cabin are other truck highlights scheduled for release in spring 2022.

F-150 Lightning Has Abundant Features

Ford has revealed that the F-150 Lightning will be made in three trim levels: the XLT, Lariat, and Platinum. The automaker has not yet provided specific details about the standard and available conveniences on each trim level. However, information has been released about the many notable tech amenities that will come with the F-150 Lightning. Technology is a highlight of the electric Ford F-150, which will get a 15.5-inch touchscreen display. The Lightning's touchscreen sports a sleek and polished design. It is designed with a user-friendly interface, and it supports all your favorite apps, including wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. The Ford Lightning will also use the latest technology in Ford's infotainment systems called SYNC 4A. A separate 12-inch digital display screen is standard with the F-150 Lightning as well, which provides real-time updates on the vehicle's performance capabilities.

Ford F-150 Lightning Powertrain and Its Performance

The F-150 Lightning will stand out in many ways, but its performance capabilities are especially notable. The Lightning will have onboard charging capabilities, and it can also be easily charged at home for convenience. This Ford F-150 can deliver a whopping 563 HP in power and 775 LB-FT of instant torque with its advanced electric powertrain. The truck can accelerate quickly to 60 MPH from a standstill in four seconds. It will have a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds and a maximum payload of 2,000 pounds. A trailer towing package is available, and you can get an extended-range battery on some trims.

Safety Features in the Forefront

The Lightning will be configured with Ford's most advanced safety tools combined into a comprehensive package called the Co-Pilot360 safety suite. This package has forward collision avoidance, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and more.
