What's New For the 2020 Ford Mustang?
Exciting changes are happening for the Mustang in 2020. FordPass Connect is now standard on all trim levels. With this, drivers can access certain features for the Mustang remotely. There are also two newly designed packages aimed at increasing performance. The EcoBoost High-Performance package gets more out of the four-cylinder engine and improves the horsepower output to 330. There is also an EcoBoost Handling package, which tweaks the suspension and adds a few things under the hood to help bring lap times down.
Changes are happening to the exterior of the 2020 Mustang as well. The EcoBoost models have redesigned 17-inch wheels. There are also four new eye-catching paint colors to choose from, known as Red Hot Metallic, Iconic Silver, Grabber Lime, and Twister Orange.

Which Features are Available for 2020?
Ford offers the 2020 Mustang in five strong trim choices. The entry-level EcoBoost has an impressive list of standard features, including keyless entry, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 4.2-inch center display screen. Going up to the EcoBoost Premium trim level will add Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an 8-inch touchscreen, leather, and much more. Next, drivers can choose the GT. On top of a more powerful engine, this model adds power-adjustable front seats as well as rear parking sensors.
The GT Premium sits near the top of the trim list. It is equipped similarly to the EcoBoost Premium but also adds upgraded brakes, tires, and suspension. The ultimate version of the Mustang is called the Bullitt. This model has a unique look with specialized wheel options and a variety of Bullitt logos. This trim is also the only one available in the Highland Green paint.
Great Power and Fuel Economy
How much power drivers can get out of the 2020 Mustang depends on the model they choose. The EcoBoost has a turbo 2.3L four-cylinder. Without the High-Performance package, this generates 310-horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Standard is a six-speed manual transmission, with a 10-speed automatic transmission being optional. GT models have a 5.0L V8 that will generate 460-horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Going with the Bullitt means getting that same engine, but slightly tweaked so that it produces 480-horsepower.
2020 Mustang Safety Features
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the 2020 Ford Mustang with a five-star safety rating. Several advanced safety aids are available for this vehicle. Examples of features that can be added include a blind spot monitor, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, and forward-collision warning, including automatic emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control is also available on select models with an automatic transmission.
