The Maverick® XLT is equipped with a standard 2.5L hybrid engine, making it one of the most fuel-efficient offerings in its class. Ford rates this hybrid at a combined 191 horsepower. A continuously variable transmission further enhances its efficiency. An optional 2.0L EcoBoost engine producing 250 horsepower is available on the XLT for those wanting greater performance. Standard front-wheel drive can be upgraded to all-wheel drive if preferred.

The sportier Maverick® Lobo™ comes standard with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine. It is paired with a special seven-speed automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters for an engaging drive. Ford engineers the Lobo™ trim to deliver sportier handling, with a lowered suspension and performance-oriented steering. This trim also includes beefier brakes and a torque-vectoring AWD system.

Appearance

The 2025 XLT trim features the Maverick®'s refreshed design, complete with a redesigned front fascia and darkened headlamp covers. Ford accents the XLT with 17-inch Carbonized Gray aluminum wheels. Eye-catching exterior colors, such as Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat, are on offer.

The Maverick® Lobo™ projects a more aggressive street-truck image, with its lowered stance and exclusive 19-inch black wheels. A unique grille further distinguishes its bold styling.

A highlight of the XLT trim is the updated SYNC 4 infotainment system, now featuring a larger 13.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capability.
