On your mark, get ready, fajita! If you’re a fan of this tasty food, then you won’t want to miss the first-ever Houston Fajita Festival! Slated for Saturday, June 4, 2016, this gathering is sure to become a family favorite.
From beef to seafood, there will be a variety of delicious fajita choices, as well as a beer and spirit garden, a kids’ playground and live entertainment: midget wrestling, local bands, artist painting, costume characters and interactive games for prizes.

As Texans, most of us love fajitas, but this wasn’t always the case. In fact, they were widely unheard of up until the 70s. That’s when the food really started becoming popular thanks to Austin, Texas grill master, Sonny Falcon. Known as the “Father of Fajita,” Falcon introduced thousands of people to the tasty treat at outdoor fairs, rodeos and festivals all over the Lone Star State. Fajita ingredients have really changed over the years as well. From strip steak to shrimp, chicken and vegetables, the dish has definitely evolved.
Join your neighbors, friends and family, and celebrate this beloved cuisine by taking part in this must-attend event! For more information, please visit the Houston Fajita Festival’s official website.
