Ford has a lot to celebrate about these days. The American automaker has recently been named “Best Overall Truck Brand” by Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.
This marks the third year in a row that Ford has earned this distinguished recognition. Ford has achieved the honor seven out of eight times KBB.com has given the award. For 2016, the brand-new F-150 is being credited for helping to pave the way for Ford to win the accolade.
Widely regarded as the best F-150 ever built, the 2016 model offers drivers with top-tier technologies, like Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which comes standard on all F-150 models. This savvy system makes it easy for drivers to back up a trailer by simply turning a knob.

Available in three cab styles, regular, Supercab and Supercrew, this full-size pickup truck gives drivers plenty of body designs to choose from. Plus, there are six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and a new Limited grade.
The entry-level XL trim comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels, trailer sway control, pre-wired trailer connections, vinyl flooring, automatic headlights, air-conditioning and more. On the entertainment front, it gets a 2.3’’ driver information screen, a 4.2’’ central display screen, Bluetooth, and a four-speaker radio with auxiliary input.
Higher trims get power windows and locks (including the tailgate), power mirrors, a cargo management system with four tie-down cleats, remote keyless entry, cruise control, a 4.2-inch driver information screen, Sync voice controls, a USB port, CD player and a smartphone-app integration.
Several high-powered engine configurations power the F-150 lineup. For starters, the base motor is a 3.5-liter V6 that generates 282 horses and 253 lb.-ft. of torque. The largest powerplant offered on the F-150 is a 5.0-liter V8 that delivers 385 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque. Ford offers two turbocharged engines on the F-150, which include, a 2.7-liter V6 and a 3.5-liter V6.
Towing capacities start at 7,600 pounds, so you’ll have no problem towing your boat to the lake.
