
The 25th Annual Houston International Jazz Festival will bring three full days of live music and entertainment to the city of Houston from July 31 - Aug. 2. Benefiting Jazz Education Inc., a non-profit dedicated to providing uplifting education activities for students, the Jazz Festival will honor the Jazz genre and all other genres birthed from Jazz, including R&B, Hip Hop, Soul and Reggae. The weekend-long 25th Annual Houston International Jazz Festival will officially begin with a kickoff party on Friday, July 31 at Music World Music Entertainment Complex. Live music, art exhibits, complimentary margaritas and period impersonators are just a few of the features guests will be able to enjoy during the evening event. On Saturday, the entertainment factor will kick up another notch, with Los Lonely Boys and Rachelle Terrell set to perform at the Bayou Music Center at 7 p.m. A pre-concert party at the Hard Rock Café will begin at 3 p.m., giving attendees the chance to mingle and dine before the big show. Wrapping up the festival on Sunday, will be the always popular Mayor's Scholarship Jazz Brunch, which will take place at 11 a.m. at Wortham Theater Center.
