Joe Myers Ford was honored to present DeShun Qualls with the 2015 Built Ford Tough Player of the Week Award.

DeShun is a Senior Quarterback at Jersey Village High School. In a recent game against Cy-Woods, he threw 518 yards, producing six touchdowns (82, 76, 59, 22, 21, and 14 yards). But, that wasn't all. He added 25 carries for 161 yards and four more scores (60, 23, 11, and 2 yards). All told, the 5-foot 11-inch, 170-pound quarterback accounted for 10 touchdowns and 679 yards! And with the game on the line and the Falcons trailing by seven late in the fourth quarter, Qualls engineered a drive to make it 73-72 with 1:17 left. Then, his two-point conversion provided the margin of victory.

The holder of a solid B average, Qualls recently committed to Abilene Christian University, an FCS school. When he's not carving up opposing defenses, Qualls participates in sprints and relays for the track team in the spring. He also attends weekly church services with his family and is a student teacher as a part of the early childhood program at school.

Great Job, DeShun!
