Families will enjoy the increased interior space and cargo capacity, allowing more room for passengers and for hauling sports gear or groceries.

2020 Ford Escape is Impressive No Matter Which Trim You Choose

The 2020 Ford Escape is available in five different trim levels. You can opt for a standard gasoline engine or a hybrid. All but one comes standard as a front-wheel-drive vehicle, except for the nonhybrid Titanium, which comes standard as an all-wheel drive. You can also opt for an all-wheel-drive for the other trim levels for a negligible price increase.

Even the base model is a zippy, attractive vehicle with multiple features. Those who want improved horsepower and features may prefer the SEL or Titanium. These models come standard with even more tech and comfort features, as well as improved performance.

How Well does the 2020 Ford Escape Perform?

2020 Ford EscapeIf you're looking for a vehicle with a little bit of pep, you'll probably enjoy driving any of the 2020 Ford Escape trim levels. The base model features a 1.5-liter inline three-cylinder engine that is turbocharged. It offers an impressive 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. It's moderately quick, zippy, and smooth.

Of course, if you would like a little more power, you will probably find that it's more than worth it to upgrade to the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine. This engine is available in the all-wheel-drive SEL or the Titanium trim levels. Its horsepower is at an even more impressive of 250. You'll instantly feel the difference between these trim levels and the others, particularly if performance is your main goal.

2020 Escape has an Abundance of Safety Features

For example, blind-spot warning, pedestrian protection, lane-keep assist, backup cameras, and more come standard in all 2020 Ford Escape models. Safety testing is still being performed on this new model, but it is expected to exceed industry standards in testing.
