Ford Mustang Mach-E EV of the Year

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mack-E EV delivers the beloved Mustang persona wrapped in an EV (Electric Vehicle). With the Mustang's familiar size and shape, the new Mach-E EV brings drivers an exciting EV experience. The Electrify America initiative resulted in plentiful charging stations across America that make EC interstate driving a new normal.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E EV brings excitement to driving an EV with characteristics of a gas engine without all the associated emissions. The Mach-E delivers a driving experience missing in other EV's, either cruising down the interstate or going on a daily shopping trip. In fact, the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is the recipient of this year's annual “Electric Vehicle (EV) of the Year” by Car and Driver.

The Mustang Mach-E rewards the driver with a powerful transition from torpid driving to delivering torque when the pedal is pressed. The AWD big battery version creates 346 horsepower and 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds. This power is evident on city streets where the power is immediately delivered to zip around street corners at 25-mph and pass slow-moving traffic, all with a simple press of the foot pedal.

The 88 kWh battery pack tucked in the floorboard gives the Mustan-E a balance on the curviest of roads. The traditional roar and allure of past high-performance Mustang are popular to the majority of new owners.

Interstate travel speed is whisper-quiet, and the driver has an elevated position with a good view of the highway. Contributing to a comfortable cabin is plenty of legroom, thanks to the floor integrated battery pack. Despite the fastback roofline, there is ample cargo space, and the rear-seat passengers have plenty of legroom.

The Mustang-E features a panoramic fixed glass roof, unique door handles, and a center, vertical-oriented, easy-to-read 15.5-inch display. The driver is presented with a logical and easy-to-read instrument cluster. Unlike some EV's, the Mustang-E gear selector has a straightforward function to select gears. The large battery pack propels the Mustang-E along the interstate at 75 mph for an impressive 270 miles.

Competitively priced with current Ford Mustang offerings, especially with the EV federal tax credit, the Mustang-E EV is a significant player. The Mustang-E was designed to compete with leading EVs such as Tesla in performance, range, design, and price.
