Sporty and modern, the 2016 Ford Focus Electric is definitely worth considering! This year, the hot hatchback is on sale at our Houston dealership with a new Sync 3 technology interface and a six-speed automatic transmission for the available 1.0-liter EcoBoost motor.

To start things off, let’s take a look at the car’s interior. On the inside, the vehicle will make you feel like you’re in a very expensive luxury car with its aesthetically pleasing dashboard and easy-to-use controls. The brand-new Sync 3 features an enhanced menu system and recognizes smartphone-like gestures, making it simple to use. Outside, the Focus Electric is just as impressive as its cabin. It comes standard with exclusive xenon headlights and LED taillights, an automatic high-beam headlight control, and 18-inch wheels.

A 107-kilowatt electric drive engine that draws power from a 23kWh lithium-ion battery pack drives this energetic model, allowing it to achieve a driving range of 76 miles. With a 240-volt charger, the vehicle can be recharged in as little as four hours. On top of that benefit, the car’s regenerative braking technology recovers more than 90 percent of its kinetic energy and moves it back to the battery pack where it’s stored for later use. On the instrument panel screen, drivers can see the percentage of braking energy captured after each stop. The higher the percentage, the more efficiently you are braking.

Safety-wise, the car comes equipped with standard features like antilock brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver knee airbag and side curtain airbags. It also includes an emergency crash notification feature that automatically dials 911 when paired with a compatible cell phone, thanks to the Ford Sync system. A rearview camera, which improves safety, also comes standard.
