A top contender for its class, the 2018 Ford Focus in Houston is ready to once again turn heads. Featuring a sporty design, tons of tech and a peppy powerplant, the five-passenger vehicle is just what you need to take your drives to new heights.

When it comes to options the Focus covers its bases. The car is offered in seven trims and can be had as either a sedan or hatchback. Keep reading our 2018 Ford Focus review to see if the vehicle is the right pick for you!

Trims & Amenities

The vehicle can be had in S, SE, SEL, Titanium, Electric, ST, and RS grades. Standards on the entry-level S include 15-inch steel wheels, a 4.2-inch central display, voice controls, Bluetooth, a USB port and four-speaker sound system.

Unlike the S, the SE can also be had as a hatchback. A favorite with 2018 Ford Focus reviews, the trim is fitted with a variety of creature comforts. They include 16-inch alloy wheels, rear air vents, cruise control and power rear windows.

Even more luxuries can be had on the SEL, including foglights, a sunroof, dual-zone climate control, two USB ports, a 10-speaker Sony sound system and ambient interior lighting for easier visibility and added visual pop.

The top-ranging Titanium wears a variety of high-end garnishments, including 17-inch wheels, leather-trimmed seats and chrome exterior accents that add to overall classy look of the car.

Under-the-Hood Mechanics

Standard, the 2018 Ford Focus in Houston utilizes a 160-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 146 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a five-speed manual, although a six-speed automatic transmission can be had for an additional price. SE sedans employ a 123-hp, 1.0-liter three-cylinder motor that puts out 125 pound-feet of torque. The Electric trim is motivated by an all-electric powerplant that generates 143 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.

An Emphasis on Safety

Every model comes standard with side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, antilock brakes, and traction and stability control. Ford's Sync system is also standard and offers emergency telematics that will send help in the event of a crash.
