V6 Mustang - As the most fuel efficient Mustang ever, the V6 variant is the first production car in history to produce over 300 horsepower while at the same time delivering 31 MPG on the highway. Power isn't sacrificed with improved fuel economy; the 3.7-liter V6 Mustang offers 280 pound - feet of torque with a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.

V8 Mustang - Powered by a 412 horsepower, 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine, the Mustang GT achieves 26 MPG on the highway, making it the most fuel-efficient car in its class. The V8 Mustang GT cranks out 390 pound - feet of road-ripping torque and redlines at 7,000 RPM. A Reverse-L independent MacPherson strut makes up the front suspension while a three-link solid axle with coil springs and a Panhard rod is found in the rear. The V8 is available with either automatic or manual transmissions.
